Interesting fact: A hen lays an egg. When the chick develops, it begins to peck at the shell in order to come out. If the chick is helped out of the shell, it will not have enough strength to survive, but as the chick pecks the inside of that shell, it builds strength until it is able to break the shell. It is then strong enough to survive.

--- Look at what the little baby chick has to go through. And it has not even entered the world yet.

--- Bad things, difficult things, things we do not understand at the moment are placed in our life. These things or tribulations teach us, build character, make us face truth, bring us to our knees forcing us or others to turn to Him ... these things even though they may be 'bad', they make us stronger, wiser, more compassionate, etc. .... they make us able to SURVIVE. That is love. Instead of God feeding us today and letting us go hungry tomorrow, he teaches us how to fish so that we will never go hungry.

It would be unloving for a God to never guide his creations. And we know that God's character is one of Love. It is also one of order, discipline, and self control.

It would behoove us to understand that while growth is not always comfortable, the lessons are learned a lot less painfully if we'd embrace them instead of rallying against them.

Embrace pain you say? Yes. Embrace it. Believe it or not, it becomes less painful and the lesson is taught with a lot more ease. Is it easier said than done? Sure it is. But so what? The blessings and the peace found from letting go and letting God truly have his way in us is just indescribable.

So ... since the lessons learned bring me closer in relationship to God ... I gladly sign up for that.

Break me Lord. Heal me Lord.

Written from my heart. ;)

No one owes you anything and neither does God.

God doesn't owe you an explanation or reason for everything he asks you to do. Understanding can wait, but obedience can't. Instant obedience will teach you more about God than a lifetime of Bible discussion. In fact, you will never understand some commands until you obey them first. Obedience unlocks understanding.
