I'm so bored because I have no work to do. WHERE IS MY MONEY BITCH? my boss sent me home today because nobody came to our bagel store. I don't know whats happening. I think I will get a job in Mikey's car n detail, they pay $9.50/hour which is $2 than I get paid in the shop but the job looks exhausting. at least here I'm just putting bagels together all day and listen to the stupid music they play over and over again 50 times a day. what do guys think I should do??????

I am in a similar boat. I had my first job for 9 months bagging groceries and cashiering at a grocery store. Then, I took on a retail job at a department store making 1.5 more an hour, but after 10 months, I am growing tired of this job too. I am looking for a job that would give me experience in another industry- washing cars- but I don't know about the pay cut before tips. Although $50 a day in tips isn't bad.

BTW, I am in highschool making $8 an hour, but can't find a job I would like for the money without an education. I don't know your level of education, but be sure you find a job you 1) can support yourself with and then 2) enjoy. Without experience, you have to kiss ass and do a job that supports you. I feel used at my work, but it pays my bills and I still have another year before I go to college.

I'm going to college in August and I have the money for that. I just drove to that car detail place and they need people. I talked to the guy (who was surprisingly friendly btw) and asked me to come back tomorrow. I told him I washed cars for 2 years when I was in high school (which is true) so I know how it's like. I filled out the thing and I'm supposed to be back in the morning so I'm probably just going to quit today because it looks like they will hire me.

i think you should set your goals alot higher and do what ever it takes. :rock

If you want a job through school, something easy isn't bad. You really need to get experience in different fields though. I planned on 9 months at a job before going into a different field. I am not really interested in the food business myself, but maybe you can work out something like work for the school you attend- they always hire the students for jobs- and then you can maybe negotiate fewer expenses for college.

well hmmmmm I chose the place because they didn't drug test...I think I will stay with the car-wash thing for the next few years, it looks like a great opportunity.

Well I'm not doing anything on my current job anyways, so I might as well get busy with something and make some extra money.
