The bottom line is the law is the law. He broke the law and he has to face the consequences...period.
I don't understand why someone who has this great priviledge that most people can only dream about would just throw it away like it's garbage. He's getting paid millions of dollars to play a kids game...has more money than he will ever need in a lifetime, but pulls a dumb stunt like that. If you're in that position and you feel like going out, wouldn't you avoid a place where you would need a gun? I don't buy for a second he needed the protection but if he did, why not follow the law, register the thing, and have a permit like you should...especially when you know you need to have one. OR just avoid the situation entirely and stay home or go somewhere else. Dumb...and now he's going to pay for it.

Lucky for Plaxico, Bloomberg appears to be referring to role models. Doesn't Plaxico get credit for not having any drugs on him? You may say, "Plaxico is not that stupid", but he shot himself...and that's not the dumbest thing...he took a loaded gun into a NYC club, presumably for protection, and he had a couple big-ass team mates with him. What kind of pussy is Antonio Pierce that his buddy has to go into a club packing?
