We still have a Netflix streaming subscription because my wife loves the old movies and some of the series that are available for viewing. We used to have a DVD description to Netflix and Blockbuster at different times. Recently I signed into Blockbuster and looked at the "recent releases" category and I could barely find anything I would call worthy of renting. I think I'm better off going with Red Box for those infrequent urges to rent.

I have a Netflix subscription for instant queue and dvd/blu ray rental, and I find myself renting from Redbox more due to convenience.

Blockbuster, man, that ship is sinking, and there is NO helping it at this point. They need to close up shop.

I absolutely hate that there are no longer any places to go in and actually browse movies anymore around here. Red Box never has squat either.

Red Box has been really awesome sometimes...I like being able to see new releases for cheap, but I find I can't ever get them back on time :p

But if there's a specific movie you want to see, there's no hope lol. They really don't have a good selection.

Honestly, all of them have failed me lately. Granted I haven't gone into my local brick and mortar, but honestly the cycle of selection really seems to suck lately.

I got rid of Netflix when they raised their rates. I now have Amazon Prime and HBO Go. Those in conjunction with a Red Box movie once in a while suits us great.
Amazon Prime is $75 for a whole year, so it's cheap compared to Netflix and my HBO Go is part of my HBO subscription.
Speaking of Redbox, I keep forgetting to return the movie I got last weekend lol OOPS.

This is why I have discontinued my subscriptions. I look at recent releases and think, bleh, there is not enough there to keep me going.

I had Netflix for the longest time but found that I wasn't using it, so I cancelled it.

Redbox seems cool, but I'd rather just stream, which I can't do with my shitty internet.

I've been using Amazon Video more lately because it's included with PRIME, and it has some decent stuff.

However, as a WHOLE, streaming sucks as far as variety regardless of the medium (Krackle, Netflix, Blockbuster, etc.).

I absolutely hate the fact that there's so little rental places to go in and browse movies. I know about 6 or so years ago, there was a Hollywood Video down the road from my house. To this day, one of my favorite things to do to relax and enjoy my free time is to go to places like that and just look through their selections and rent movies, but sadly, that place got closed down years ago and it's now replaced with a damn cell-phone store(As if there aren't enough of those everywhere?). The only movie store anywhere near me is a MovieStop that's almost 45 minutes away, but the great thing is to make up for it, it's huge.

As far as getting new movies, I have Netflix Instant Streaming and then the two-at-a-time DVD subscription. I've never had an issue with either one. For a while, their instant streaming catalog was terrible, but recently they've begun updating it more frequently with up to date movies, and their mail service has always had the newest movies available. And I always seem to get my movies within maybe a day or two of putting them on my list. I love it. I've never been a big fan of Blockbuster, and Redbox is my second choice besides Netflix, but I dislike the multiple charges to my credit card if I wanna keep a movie more than one day. I'd rather go the old route of renting a movie at a store and then paying like $7 and getting the movie for an entire week. Yeah, I know the math about $7 for one week equaling $1 per day for 7 days, which makes it the same, but for me, paying all up front one time is less stressful for me. But Redbox has always seemed to have a somewhat decent catalog of the newest movies.

Then there is the danger of having your ISP provider lock you down for data usage.
