I see a lot of these when I travel to Yellowknife.
Been there a few times. I like it in the fall when the air is real crisp in the early morning. The steam coming off those beasts is a great site.Also we have Elk Island Park just outside the city with lots of Bison there as well![]()
Oh yeah, also going to the Rockies, yup...

Thanks fuzz... I would have to say a good 100' yards away from it. I'm going back again of course and hope to get a better shot of a different bull. He's a massive bugger.how far away were you from it? very nice pic!
Apparently they are very dangerous and unpredictable. Typical cloven hoofed animal. Stinky I wouldn't know cuz I haven't been that close to one.wow he must have been massive! Last time i saw one of those up close was in a local zoo and they were huge!! and dangerous. ...oh and stinky. Great shot!
