I see a lot of these when I travel to Yellowknife. Also we have Elk Island Park just outside the city with lots of Bison there as well

Been there a few times. I like it in the fall when the air is real crisp in the early morning. The steam coming off those beasts is a great site.

Oh yeah, also going to the Rockies, yup...

If you're ever going to try visiting up North, you have to see the Yukon, NWT is just a bunch of trees and hills and feeling very isolated wishing you were in the Yukon.

I used to drive there every time we come to the city, I love looking at them. I used to live on a farm outside Edmonton.

Thanks fuzz... I would have to say a good 100' yards away from it. I'm going back again of course and hope to get a better shot of a different bull. He's a massive bugger.

wow he must have been massive! Last time i saw one of those up close was in a local zoo and they were huge!! and dangerous. ...oh and stinky. Great shot!

Apparently they are very dangerous and unpredictable. Typical cloven hoofed animal. Stinky I wouldn't know cuz I haven't been that close to one.
