I'm sorry, I'm sure whatever moron decides to let these novices ink them has to sign a waver that they cannot sue the business or the network, but even if I was into tats there is no way, I would let some novice who is competing in a reality series to ink me...

is that the one where the lady teaches them in a couple weeks to tatoo? If it is I saw it and they were tattooing people on the first day amazing how stupid some people are to just let anyone put something permenant on their skin like that

Yeah I don't get that. Although, I know people who've got tattoos that each mean something and have been thought about carefully beforehand, and I know other people who just seem to get whatever they feel is cool at that particular moment in time. I can see that second type being happier about getting a free tattoo than worried about some amateur permanently fucking it up.

My dad used to get loads of free tattoos from a very very well known tattooist when he was just starting out.

Which is why he has a Tony Blair & John Mayor 1997 general election tattoo and a tattoo of Deirdre Barlow (from Coronation Street). It was all over the news, newspapers and tattoo magazines in 1997 and onwards (my dad was on The Johnny Vaughn show in 2002 talking about his tattoos).

I just find it embarrassing, especially when people stop him in the street and say "your the guy with the [insert random tattoo]". He has some really nice tattoo as well (the tattoo artist gave us a framed copy of a tattoo on my dad's back that everyone who sees it really likes) but he has too many cringe-worthy ones.

I have an ex coworker who is now a starving amateur tattoo artist on facebook, he puts some ugly shit on people. Half of them are completely swimming in tattoos as is, and it's clear they just don't care what is etched on their bodies anymore. A penis, a turd, a deformed hello kitty- as long as it's free they're game. Can't quite say I'd do that.

Ya I'm with you... I have fam that is a tattoo artist and I could get one for free and still probably never will.

Haha my pain threshold is, like, 0... but I also can't think of anything that's important enough to me yet that I'd be okay with it being on my body permanently.
