Best eddie murphy film

He was great in his hey day, but not a lot can be said about his recent movies (with the exception of shrek). I enjoyed trading places and beverly hills cop. What were your favourites?

Most of his classic 80's movies are great. I really love 48 Hours, though. I think he had great chemistry with Nick Nolte on that one, and being a co-star instead of the main act kinda toned down his hysterics, so when they came, they were unexpected and really funny.

I really like Eddie Murphy. 48 Hours for me too. Beverly Hills Cop was good also.

I liked Coming to America. All those different roles he played.

The Nutty Professor and Metro would be one of the best films Eddie Murphy has, but I pick Mulan, where he lent his voice to the character of Mushu.

a good Eddie Murphy film is an oxymoron but hey he still beats out Robin Williams since Eddie Murphy at least doesn't make me PUKE :yuk

I think that's very unfair, Catavenger, both have their ups & downs during their career, both have movies and roles ranking among my favourites, while other do make me sick. You can dismiss entire bodies of work just like that.

I like a lot of his earlier movies. I think he was funny in those. He does have some recent movies that were funny, but I think he is not as funny now as he was then. My favorite movies are:

I haven't seen a lot of Eddie Murphy movies but his role in Norbit was hilarious!
He did a really good acting, and was quite funny during the film, so I'll pick this one.
