Hi,

I was browsing through the available add-ons for chrome, but since there's such a wide range of add-ons out there, I wanted to know if you guys had any that you'd definitely recommend. It can be on any browser, I'm sure there will be one just like it on different browsers.

Thanks!

As far as I know, it's not out yet. Hadn't heard of it before but I did some research and it looks really convenient. Is it that good that you're staying with Firefox just for that add-on?

That is the main add on I can't live without. ...while on the desktop doing research.

Only add I really can't live without is, what Vajk pointed out too, AdBlock. Watching YouTube videos without it is nearly impossible, but since I haven't ever used tabs mix plus I can't say I miss it in chrome. Might be worth trying in Firefox though, I'm going to download it now.

Do you use chrome ?
Not often..it is fast and simple though..but doesnt have the versatility as ff.
For instance..take the new yahoo mail..it sucks as I cant sort by suject when I want to delete hundreds of emails at a time.
With ff I can change the user agent...to make it think I am on a mobile phone and bingo..old mail is back.
I can block ads...have a place holder for flash...change the number of my connections...pipeline.
Download videos with download video helper
Image on and off toggle toolbar toggles
Tab previews

Change my tab width..boom mark all tabs, duplicate tabs...the list is endless with mixed tabs plus ...literally
Once you have tabs mix plus with FF you cant do without it.

Additionally FF has a good history search as well...it actually never seems to forget...I can pull up stuff a couple years old in history search although the actual list doesnt go back that far.

Personally the best for me are MediaHint (since I live in Canada, allows me to use Spotify etc.) and Print Pages to PDF since I need that for assignments at times. I use Firefox, by the way.

All I really use on my SRWare Iron (Chromium clone with privacy) is AdBlock. It's so nice to not see random advertisements pop out of nowhere on the pages I visit to. Keeps my screen clean and uncluttered to allow me to focus on the content I need to focus on.

I'd like to reccomend a few: Lazarus is your lifesaver. When you're typing in a form, Lazarus continuously saves what you're doing. If your browser crashes, or you accidentally close the tab, you can get that text back just by right-clicking in the now-empty text box on that page. You may not think you need it now, but when that fateful day comes, you'll be glad you had it installed.

Nothing's more annoying than the "not available in your country" error message. Hola Unblocker fixes the problem: it routes your traffic through a compatible country so you don't miss out on the content you want just because of your location. I've been using it for a while now, just so I could listen to Pandora :)

I've been using hoverzoom for quite some time now, and I really like it. When you hover over a picture or a link to a picture, the picture will pop up on your screen, usually bigger than the original. It doesn't work on all websites, but the developers are always making it compatible with more websites. Someone also recommended Imagus to me, which does basically the same thing, but it apparently has more options. I've only just installed it, so I can't really tell you anything about it, but it seems to work as good as hoverzoom.

For me, Ad-block is a must. Then there are a couple that I use, but are more personal:
* 'reddit enhancement suit' is a great complement if you browse reddit a lot, like I do.
* 'grammarly' for check my grammar, since I'm not an english native speaker. It's nice and simple.
* 'Xmarks' for synchronize my bookmarks between all my browsers (I don't use chrome on all my computers). It's available for all the popular browsers.

Adblock Plus and a downloader for any YouTube content that I'd like to save to my computer! Makes downloading and enjoying content a whole lot easier!

AdBlock Plus and YouTubeCenter. AdBlock Plus removes almost all ads, even on YouTube, and if they miss out some, you can add it to your filter. YouTubeCenter is a great extension that will allow you to customize YouTube a lot. For example, I disabled DASH Playback because having to reload the video just to skip forward a second was annoying me, as well as the video automatically changing the resolution was also annoying. I was able to create a default player size for YouTube to load every time.

I love Stylish. Can create custom themes for sites like facebook, youtube, twitter etc etc.

Adblock is really good too.
