Good read from a man who inspired much of this. Reads like one of V's monologues which is no surprise given the writer ;)

Excellent article Siphorous. I think, here in the US, we are so caught up in politics and the left vs right political paradigm that many are completely unaware of the full cause and effect of the 2008 economic implosion with the collusion of international central banks and the dominant role of Goldman Sachs (interesting how the Greek PM, George Papandreou, was recently replaced by an appointed and not elected central banker, Lucas Papademos and the same with the pm of Italy, Mario Monte, who replaced Silvio Berlusconi. Toward the end of the article, the writer wrote
Our present financial ethos no longer even resembles conventional capitalism, which at least implies a brutal Darwinian free-for-all, however one-sided and unfair. Instead, we have a situation where the banks seem to be an untouchable monarchy beyond the reach of governmental restraint, much like the profligate court of Charles I.
This is as applicable in the US as it is in Britain and the basis for the Occupy movement which has had international appeal.

When former US National Security Advisor and Trilateral Commission co-founder, Zbigniew Brzezinski spoke before the Council on Foreign Relations in 2010, he warned of a global political awakening beginning to take place. Technology such as file sharing, blogging, and open source software has the potential to undermine the oligarchical governing interests seeking to centrally control our society and enforce the population into being entirely dependent on their commodities. The following excerpt from Brzezinski’s book Between Two Ages: America’s Role in the Technetronic Era, provides invaluable insight into the world being brought in; “The technetronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values. Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen and maintain up-to-date complete files containing even the most personal information about the citizen. These files will be subject to instantaneous retrieval by the authorities.”

ACTA is a grave concern in the wake of the machinations of these global bankers. Call me a conspiracy theorist but what else can there be when you can see the hand of Goldmann Sachs and the banking elite throughout the US and the EU?

I took Moore's words to be more global than local but I guess it could be seen either way. Regardless, I concur with his view of the banks. Working in one of the major global banks, it becomes apparent that the world (unaware public) sees one thing, yet quite another is happening within the walls. Whilst Vikram is off round the world promoting 200 years of Citi and being lauded for having performed a 'most admirable task' in bringing Citi into a more streamlined and customer focused era than ever before - many people have paid the price for this 'streamlining'. It's a shame the human element is so often forgotten or just accepted without even any feeling whatsoever.

As for ACTA, I read the links within and of particular interest is one that mentions that as bad as ACTA could be, the current round of negotiations for the TPP includes a chapter on IP property... and it doesn't look good to say the least.
