Your place to discuss anything and everything baseball in 2011.

So... Albert is going to be a free agent and we had a Tiger swigging scotch on the highway.

EXCELLENT start to the season. :D

Thinking the Sox and Yankees will be facing one another in the ALCS, and the Bewers are a few players away from making the playoffs...and they really need to re-sign Fielder....

Phillies are wining the WS this year. Calling it now!!! :D

You wish. The Giants proved that both Lee and Halladay are mere mortals like the rest of us in the World Series and NLCS last year. I won't deny that your staff is really good, but the age of the Giants staff makes them have a whole lot more upside. Bumgarner started off last year in Fresno and was starting in the World Series by October. We all know that Lincecum is nothing short of spectacular, and Cain came on really strong last year as well.

Speaking as a fan in the NL Central, the Brewers don't stand a chance to be honest. Getting Grienke is going to help their rotation, but it's still a big point of weakness for them. Their bullpen is even worse than their rotation.

this is true, but when they picked up CC he may have looked like he pitched in every game they played! Besides, it would be fun to see the Brewers do a little damage in the central.

As far as the NL Central goes... it's probably going to come down to the Cubs and Reds, and with the way Dusty manages his pitchers, chances are that they're going to have a lot of problems this next year. The Cardinals are still in it as long as they have Pujols, but losing Wainwright is going to kill them.

The Cubs having a chance is dependent upon Zambrano pitching like he did in his last 11 starts last year... 8-0 with a 1.76 ERA. Getting Matt Garza from the Rays is also going to bolster the rotation, as he's a much better pitcher than Ted Lilly, and should benefit a ton moving from the AL East to the NL Central. We also have to have a good year from Pena and Ramirez in the middle of the order, and hope that Soriano is at least as good as he was last year (which wasn't great).

So, as a true die hard Cubs fan... I have to say that the Cubs are going to take the NL Central, but I won't make any predictions beyond that for us.

But Greinke is no CC ;) I think he pretty much did play in just about every game for them too :24: :willy_nilly: As a Cubs fan, I don't think it would be fun :p
