He should've been found non-guilty on all counts.

must be a fan.

He took steroids, along with several other players. I think they all should have any awards, records, wins, hits, strikeouts, etc....... taken away. They are a disgrace to the game of baseball.

at the very least, have one of these * by all their names.

*Performance Enhancing Drugs Used.

Nothing has ever been proven when it comes to Bonds, and that isn't even what this trial was about.

Claiming that players that supposedly took PEDs should have an * next to their name is ridiculous. Should there be an * next to every player that played when spitballs and sandpapering were legal? PEDs weren't against the rules in baseball until relatively recently. Or maybe it's that it gave them an advantage on the field. Well, then we need to get rid of every pitcher that pitched during the "dead ball" era, or when the pitchers mound was higher, both of which gave pitchers advantages over hitters.

Plus, we have absolutely no clue how many players were using supplements... hell, the majority of them could have, so none of them would truly have had an advantage over most anyone else.

Say what you will about Bonds... but if he took steroids, they still wouldn't have changed the fact that he was one of the most patient hitters in baseball over his career, and had one of the best eyes for pitches he could hit that I've ever seen. He rarely swung at bad balls, and was content with taking a walk or even a looking strikeout if he didn't see something that he felt he could hit.

But back to the original point... these charges had to do with perjury and obstruction of justice. They were ridiculous charges brought about by the feds when they discovered that they couldn't indict him on steroid usage. They wanted to make an example out of him, but they still couldn't get him on anything all that serious in comparison to what they wanted.

Oh... question.

What about Sammy Sosa? Should he have all of his awards, etc., taken away from him? The only thing that he's been proven to have done was use a corked bat once. People have attempted to link him to steroid usage, but other than Canseco speculating that he "probably" used steroids, there's been no real smoking gun with him. What about McGuire? He supposedly used supplements and steroids during a time when they weren't banned by baseball. They were illegal in the United States, but not against MLB rules. Should he have his stats and awards taken away from him or marked with an *?

All of them

Plenty of guys love the game and DO NOT cheat. They are the real ball players

Even if they were not banned by the MLB when McGuire took them, do YOU think its not cheating? Either way, it is an illegal performance enhancing drug

I am a cubs fan, always have been. I lost all respect for Sosa after he was caught with the corked bat.

(fav player of all time: Ryan Sandberg) just thought I would throw that in there

I'll disagree with you vehemently about Sosa. He used a corked bat. Once. With all of the other bats he broke over the course of his career, it would've been discovered that he had used one prior to that if it was a regular thing. I'll forgive one mistake like that.

BTW... we share the same favorite player and team. ;) Though Kerry Wood comes in a close 2nd in my book.

It couldn't have been cheating if they weren't banned by the MLB at the time. For all we know, he could've traveled somewhere outside of the states where it was legal in order to get an injection. If it was done in the US, then yes it was illegal, but not cheating according to the rules that were in existence in MLB at the time.

I have been a Giants fan since I was a kid (born and raised in CA). I used to love Bonds. To watch him walk out and send one in to McCovey Cove was amazing.

However, the man is unstable and has no integrity.

I feel like he got what he deserved. He lied to the Grand Jury and was punished for it.

End of story.
