Barbaro euthanized

I was hoping he would live but I have a problem with the way the whole thing was being handled. I've heard several times (and in the article) how he was a hero to the American people. How exactly is the horse a hero? What about the people who deserve to be called heros (military, firefighters, police, doctors, and so on)? To me, that takes away from the accomplishments of the true heros we have.

think of it froma firefighters standpoint he gettin called a hero for getting up in the morning and going to work. Everyone gets up in the morning and goes to work, firefighters have just a unique of a job as say a lawyer, but the lawyer isnt classified as a hero

I guess everyone would have their own definition of a hero. That doesn't necessarily have to be someone that saves a life. My cousin is 12, and he's my hero. He didn't save anyones life, but he's gone through more medical problems then anyone on here can even imagine. I know I would never be able to go through what he's going through. So everyone would have their own definition.
