i personally think shera labutfucker (the son)was personally responsible for at least 40% of why IJIV sucked, and it did help that whats her name looked....unkept

word of advice to any/all wood-be directors, writers, movie person in general...
YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO IMPROVE ON THE ORIGINALS OR AT LEAST BE AS GOOD IN A DIFFERENT WAY!

Highlander sequals, the first was awesome...BUT YOU HAD TO GO AND FUCK IT UP

Predator two comes to mind, the comic book was a lot better.

Jurassic Park 2 isn't a bad film. But it's not as quite the greatest achievement of mankind to date, like it's predecessor.

Home Alone, after the second film, shouldn't be recognised as a film franchise.

I wish they'd stop making numerous sequels to a good film. Like Shrek - that film was awesome. The first sequel wasn't terrible, but it's just going downhill since then.

Pirates of the Caribbean, again great first film, but they have to keep going back for more.

I'm happy to have a film that stands alone. You don't need every single inch of the character's lives to be covered in prequels and sequels and spin-offs...

But First Contact was with the TNG crew not the Kirk based crew, so totally different direction they went

Rarely are sequals up there with the originals but the ones that were so bad, I just felt they went one film too far are -

Crocodile Dundee III
Saw II
Star Wars I
American Pie: Band Camp
Green Street II (First one was terrible anyway but the second one is so bad it makes it look good)
Rocky VI

I'm not at all trying to discredit how good First Contact is, it is without question the best TNG based Star Trek film.
