Watching a program about this right now, fucking wrong!:thumbdown Taliban outlawed this but has come back thanks to our liberating of the country. I know this in no way makes our invasion wrong, it was about something else but things sometimes arn't as clear cut as we'd like them to be. There's quite a lot the invasions haven't achieved. I remember watching a program a year after the fall of Saddam in Iraq that showed US forces explaining to the women of Iraq that they could now expect equality... what was funny was that Iraqi women enjoyed much better equality before the invasion - it was apparently law under Saddam that women doing the same job as men had to earn the same.
