I also disagree with using "colored" people. It's a very old backwater south term and I think we have evolved from using that word, as well as the N word. Why can't people just refer to them as black people or african americans? And just for the record, you can't tell a joke like that and then just expect it to be ok because you have a disclaimer stating that you aren't trying to be rude. That's like saying to a fat person "Hey...you're really fat...but I'm not trying to be rude or anything." You just DON'T do that.
