Since my Hunnie was in town for 10 days and I had to take him back to ATL airport yesterday, we decided to go to the Atlanta Aquarium to fill the gap in our day. MAN that place is cool.

IF I can remember what I took pics of, I'll put the names lol.

Cool pictures, aquariums are excellent, the London aquarium is awesome. Sure I recognised some clown fish in those pictures but my knowledge of fish is limited other than that.

Thanks .. the place is awesome for kids .. all kinds of cool stuff for them to do and touch. They have sections where only the kids can go in .. little tunnels and stuff. It's cool.

My ex-girlfriends father was among the men who cut the ribbon to open the aquarium. I got in for free, tee-hee. That place is freaking huge. To bad all the animals are dying.

Dying? They all looked healthy to me. All seemed in quite good spirits and alot would interact with the crowd/children as they strolled along.

I know they had a Beluga whale die not long ago, but it was sick when they got it. It had been kept in an outdoor enclosure with no shield from debris/weather, and was located underneath a roller coaster inside a theme park in Mexico, I believe.

Holy hell, they have a Whale Shark there? That tank was freaking HUGE!! That first shark was a Wobbegong I believe. I love sharks! They scare the hell out of me because they will tear you to shreds, but I still love them.

Those seadragons are kinda cute! I love aquariums/zoos and such. Its been ages since I've been to one. Thats one of the things on my agenda for the summer.

ouch .. I don't think I've used 56k since like .. wow, I can't even remember now lol;.

Not only do they have 1 whale shark ... they have 4! They have 2 girls and 2 boys. All are about 20ft long.

And yes, that tank is ginormous.

You would like the stingray/baby shark petting tank. I did not partake (as I am terrified of sharks) but the kids were loving it.

There's a pet store right down the road from me that has a saltwater below-ground setup that has a Wobbegong and a couple of blacktip reef sharks in it. Yeah, I don't think I would participate in the shark petting either. Maybe once, but then I would probably scream like a little girl.
