So, the trailer has been released(I know, I'm late). For those who haven't seen it, it's available here- PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD'S END on Yahoo! Movies
Now, I have been asked numerous questions regarding this movie, and seen some stupid comments, so here's some info to help understand the third installment.
Disneyland and Disney World have already began dissembling and reconstructing the rides for both of the movies. And actually, the named the first POTC "The Curse Of The Black Pearl", hoping that it would do good and they could make a sequel.
Since Jack was killed by the Kraken(, he was sent to "Davy Jones' Locker", as mentioned in the beginning, "Will 'Bootstrap Bill' Turner says, "Then it's the Locker for you!". In the scriptwriter's commentary on the movie's DVD, one of the writers state that Davy Jones' Locker is not death per se, but spending an eternity with the thing you hate or are afraid of most. So like it's mentioned in Dead Man's Chest, Jack didn't necessarily die, so much as he was sent to World's End.
Tia Dalma brought Cpt. Barbossa back by means of Magic as well if you remember. It briefly shows Barbossa's feet when they first meet up with Tia Dalma in Dead Man's Chest, when he gives her Jack the undead monkey. You're just being picky, Jack isn't brought back by magic, when he was eaten, he was sent to Davy Jones' locker, aka World's End.
