Phone rings it is an automated call from the insurance company about the rental car for my wife while the car is in the shop. The automatron rattles off a 10 digit number I need as a confirmation number. I really was not prepared to write down a number.

* Press 1 to repeat the confirmation number.
I press 1.... Nothing happens....
I get forwarded to someone with Hertz.

Her: "Can I have your confirmation number?"
Me: "I wrote down what I thought I heard but I could not get it repeated."
Her: "That is a good number."
"Let me give you the phone number for the local office."
Then call waiting starts beeping in. Just great.

All this stuff is compounding my throbbing melon.

Damn! I HATE when my throbbing melon gets compounded..

Although... if I twist that around just a bit, I might have something to work with. Hope it all works out.
