Many people think that females are weaker than men emotionally. But I'm not so sure about that.

The fact that women are generally physically weaker than men make women more vulnerable. It's not fair, it's just a fact of life.

However, are women emotionally weaker?

I think a lot of guys assume than women are emotionally weaker because they're more likely to cry than men. Yet I know women who, although more likely to cry than myself, are emotionally stronger than I am in overall.

Also, females have to go through more in life than men in my view. Yet most are able to handle it.

So this topic to me is debatable.

It's definately debatable. I donnot think women have more to deal with. I think that both sexes are really quite equal in difficulty in the game called life. Women have more trouble controlling their emotions than men in general, but I donnot think that makes them weaker. I do think it impairs their judgement more, however. Men are so easily negatively influenced by sex and that's a disadvantage men have.

I think alot of it is appearance. Men have been taught to put up front and not show emotion as much. Whether or not someone is actually emotionally strong depends on the person, in my opinion, more so than what sex they happen to be.

Men are more likely to be violent, which shows that to me that men have less self-control in that sense.

Not really, there are known facts that women beat up their partners, then go around stigmatising them (or falsely accusing them of the same crime) if the complain to anyone including the police

To me it is a non question. Men and woman are wired differently for reasons of survival. Whether we are intelligent enough to recognize this is another question. Look at all the energy that goes into overpowering each other in many relationships that are gender role focused. Sad

emotionally men are weaker as most have been breed to hide or bottle up their feelings. Men tend to let it go until it is too late and either they kill everyone around them or they explode in some form or another. Its also why men don't live as long as women. They are mentally unhealthy do to not dealing with emotions.

Men are traditionally thought of as being less emotional than women but the evidence points more towards a situation where men tend to show emotions that are bad for them and the people around them. Here is a quick overview of some of the research findings about men, their emotional expressions and their health. Compared to Women:

there is substantial evidence to show that men have more difficulty in expressing their emotions and exert greater controls over the expression of emotions.

men spend more time ruminating over negative emotions.

men share their emotions with far fewer.

men express emotions with less intensity.

men use less emotional language and fewer 'emotion' words.

behavior seems less affected by expressions of emotion.

men are more likely to under-report negative feelings.

men are more willing to express emotions likely to be viewed as demonstrating power or control. For example, pride, anger and jealousy.

As babies they learn to shut down. We tend to not cuddle boy babies as much as we do girls. We teach them to be 'tough' rather than that it is ok to feel certain ways and to show certain emotions, such as crying. Very few men feel comfortable crying.

I think some men are emotionally weaker than some women and vice versa, everyone is different, I don't think you can generalise based on sex. We are all individuals

Uhhm I cannot make new threads so I'll just start here I guess.

Do you smoke cigarettes? I used to and quitting is the absolute without a doubt the most intelligent decision I've ever made. So do you smoke and what are your opinions on them?

Not only are they weaker, it's a proven fact that they have smaller feet. But we all know that's so they can stand closer to the sink while doing the dishes.

Yes, and men have learned the exact depth to make the lip under the cabinet so we don't stub our toes...Funny how that works together.:D

That isn't true, there are some yes but it's not enough reason to generally call women the weakest gender. Yes we cry often than the male but that's the way we release come of our frustration. When done on it we can stand stronger and better.

Ooops!:toothmay i add women is the weakness of men.LOL
