Are Schools Ignoring Abuse Hidden Behind “Discipline”?

Some parents justify violence as strict parenting. How do schools differentiate discipline from abuse without disrespecting cultural differences? Should children be taught their rights directly? Can reporting guidelines work globally or must they adapt locally?

That was the case in the past, but these days I don't see that happening. Well, there are some exceptions but these says most school do not abuse or ignore abuse in the name of discipline.

Yes, some schools blur the line between discipline and abuse. Strict rules or harsh punishments can mask emotional or physical harm. Awareness, clear policies, teacher training, and reporting mechanisms are essential to protect students and ensure discipline doesn’t become a cover for mistreatment.
