This was on Top Gear the other night, a popular motoring show in Britain. While I found it hilarious it was also very disturbing too! It's a shame there are people like this still about living in a supposedly enlightened country!:eek

Bloody BBC, fixed it for you until they catch up again. Basically the Top Gear crew painted slogans on each others cars and drove through Alabama. These included "Hilary for President", "Man Love rules", "Country and western is rubbish" and "NASCAR sucks". They got attacked by a truck load of rednecks who pelted them and the camera crew with rocks!

Top Gear is a bunch of normal people who like cars. They drive top notch cars really fast, in fact one of them nearly died in a high speed roll over last year. He was in a coma for ages - he's recovered now & they just showed the footage on the show - friggin' awesome.

It's a great show - definitely not like Jackass & yet...

It's a brilliant show! I'm not even into cars and I enjoy. Richard Hammonds crash was amazing. He is the highest speed survivor of a car crash! Here's the footage. :eek

I grew up in Alabama and now live in TN so I can speak as someone you'd probably consider a redneck. I don't watch Nascar much, only restrictor plate races because its cool to see them run in a pack and the crashes are huge. As for the other stuff on their car, none of it would bother me though I'm not into Man Love to each his own.

I do however think that whatever was on that show was probably set up. Reality TV is anything but real, and it wouldnt be hard to get some "good ol' boys" to agree to throw rocks at cars for your show.

its surprising that Hammster survived that crash from the video. i had heard about the crash and read about it but i didnt realize how devastating of a crash it was. im glad the Hammster survived...hes one crazy and tough person.

Nascar is pretty boring to me... I only watched part of it since atm i don't have cable and wanted to see the simpsons which came on after it on FOX. I live in TX myself.. Don't see many rednecks actually :/
