Digital communication, individualism, and remote work change how people interact. How does this affect mental health, support systems, and cultural continuity? Can intentional social habits or community-building initiatives offset the sense of disconnection?

In some ways, yes. Social media and online interactions can feel shallow compared to face-to-face connections. But communities adapt. virtual groups, interest-based forums, and shared activities can still build strong bonds if participation is meaningful and consistent.

In modern times individuals have become self centered and self focused, they no longer care for community, they have cut their ties with the community they actually belong. One main reason is the rise of digital platforms and spending more time online than in the real world
