Even story-driven titles now include skins, boosters, or small purchases. Do these additions change how you experience the game? Which titles used microtransactions responsibly, and which crossed the line? Should single-player games have them at all?

Buying items in games can improve your gaming experience. These days I don't do micro transactions much but in the past I frequently used to buy various items. I don't think micro transactions are undermining single player games.

Microtransactions can disrupt single-player experiences when they push players toward spending instead of enjoying the story or gameplay. While optional cosmetic purchases are usually harmless, pay-to-win elements or gated content can undermine immersion and the satisfaction of completing the game naturally.
