Are Influencers a Positive or Negative Impact on Society?

Influencers shape trends, opinions, and purchasing decisions. Some inspire and educate, while others promote unrealistic lifestyles. Do influencers contribute more value or harm? Should their content be regulated?

Influencers can have both positive and negative impacts. They raise awareness, inspire trends, and promote products or causes. However, they can also spread misinformation, unrealistic lifestyles, or consumerism. The effect depends on the influencer’s responsibility, authenticity, and the audience’s critical thinking.

Some are affecting positively and some are affecting negatively. We cannot group them all in one category.

The way I see it is that influencers should be for entertainment purposes only and not some experts on anything! My sister was obsessed with some influencer and even though my sister was hurting financially, she got drawn into buying some fashion items because the influencer recommended them. It was a total waste of her money!

I like watching some videos where people have fun, but I don't let them influence me.
