Many families rely on takeout or pre-made meals instead of home-cooked recipes. How do you preserve traditional meals in your household? Which dishes hold the most sentimental value? Can convenience coexist with cultural cooking practices?

Western culture is a dominating culture, and it is affecting everything including food in non-Western countries. These days traditional cuisines are disappearing and western fast food is taking center stage. A lot of people are giving up traditional food because it takes a lot of time to prepare, they are looking for food that can be prepared in a short time or are ready to be eaten.

In some ways, yes. Busy lifestyles and convenience foods do replace traditional cooking. But food traditions rarely disappear completely. They adapt. Many families revive them on weekends, festivals, or online. The challenge is keeping meaning alive, not freezing practices in time.
