With personal devices and streaming, family trips and activities sometimes take a backseat. Do you prioritize outings together? Which types of activities create the strongest family bonds? How do you balance individual hobbies with collective experiences?

parents who have toddlers or preteens might be able to take their kids to outings, but parents of older kids might not be able to take older kinds to outings as they have different interests, and they might feel closer to friends compared to parents.

I think it's still very meaningful to take even older kids like teenagers on trips. I would encourage them to limit their phone time while visiting tourist attractions. Maybe allow them to use their phones to take selfies or make videos but still encourage them to spend time with the family.
