Ours looks almost identicle to that. I reccomend them to anyone who doesnt already have one. We've had ours for about 5 years now and the only thing I have ever had to do to it other than the initial programming is change the batteries in it. Our heating and cooling bill dropped dramatically and leveled out so that it stays the same throughout the year. I couldnt begin to tell you how much money we've saved over the last 5 years since we installed it. Deffinately worth the money to have one IMO.

That makes me want to spend the 40 on it right now. My only problem is that this apartment is extremely drafty. When it was 20 degrees out I could stand by my door and get a chill from all the cold leaking in.

You could always ask your landlord to staple some clear plastic over the outside of your windows during the winter and keep a rolled up towel against the bottom of your door. That will help tremendously right there.

nah. my landlord won't spring for that. I could keep a towel at the base of the door, but it leaks from all around it. It's horrible.

I need my friend to move out so I can get a better apartment so I'm not paying for electric as well.

you could put some 3M foam tape around your door jams. It would make the door a little difficult to shut but only because it would be sealing off well. It would only be temporary cuz it would wear off after a while but its cheap. :dunno

you can program it when u leave the house to raise the temp and an hour before you get home program it to lower the temp back home most also tell you when u need to change the filter in the house. I have had both it make a difference

you can use a foam sweep as they call it for the bottom of the door to keep air out it screw on with about 5 screw depending on the width of door..you can get'em from lowes..as for the stat I use one and my electric bill during winter went down like 15-20% paid for it's self in 3 months
