Car boot? That doesn't even make sense...I thought a boot was a trunk, so car trunk would be redundant. But it means garage?????? What about car house? That would make more sense to me. Or even car bed...
maybe boot means storage compartment. then it would make sense. The boot OF the car is the storage compartment in the car...the car boot is the storage compartment FOR the car. I know I'm just a genius today huh?
The boot of the car is the back of it where you put your shopping and stuff. It's called a car boot sale because you put all your junk to sell in it and drive to a field or car park somewhere here these sales are being held. You then set up all your stuff on a table or whatever at the back of your car and people come to these sales and buy stuff. The're usually held on a Sunday morning and are quite popular. I usually make about £100 for the morning, just for selling junk.
aw man. we need to have those here! damn it all! I think we dont because to sell things in a garage sale you are required to get a license or something...maybe they have rules like that for that too.
