Haha, since I do a lot of writing/painting people, I always keep around a list of names that I like, so here's a few:
Anna, Anne, Annette (or other variations of that)
Audrey
Bianca
Charlotte (name of a friend--sweetest, most honest and selfless woman I know)
Claudia
Estelle, Estella
Gretchen
Hannah
Harriet
Jodie, Joni
Manya (Marie Curie's real name!)
Norah
Paige (my sister's name)
Sadie
Stella
Wynne
And also, although I doubt you'll end up using them, a few names that I fell in love with when I was really little in Norway:
Hanne (hann-uh)
Jorun (you-runn)
Kjersti (like i
ch in German, or the h in huge, H
chushtee; you barely hear the r)
Laila (lie-lah; although it would sound pretty as lay-la too)
Åse (aw-suh; like awesome without the me)
And just to give you some comfort (and maybe a smile about this whole thing): when I was really little, my sister gave me one of her dolls that she didn't want anymore. I called the doll "Hvitløk", which probably means nothing to you, but I'll tell you what it means: garlic. When I was little, I was so convinced that any child of mine--girl or boy--would be named Garlic. Luckily, I grew out of that phase.
