I wonder if I can find any folk/rock fans here.
I only discovered Mumford and Sons abound 6 months ago and I'm totally in love and know every single song.

Maybe you had more luck than me and got to see them live? I'm still waiting for that day ;)

Depends on what you consider "folk" I always like Gordon Lightfoot, Joan Baez and Judy Collins sometimes they are considered folk.

I like Mumford and Sons too.
Although I don't listen to them that often, they're talented and are quite successful due to the single "I will wait".
They're cool. :p

I love folk music and folk rock/ folk punk. My all time favorites are Simon & Garfunkle, The Mountain Goats, and Andrew Jackson Jihad.

I do consider myself a folk fan, but I definitly do not like the kind of music put out by Mumford and Sons. I am more into European folk-rock, like Steeleye Span, Fairport Convention, Jethro Tull, Alan Stivell, Comus, Mellow Candle, Carol of Harvest, etc, and maybe some of the more modern acid folk, with acts like Fern Knight or Espers.

I have learned over the years that different music appeals to different people. I had never heard of Mumford and sons until some awards show one night. Crowd went nuts every time they were mentioned and when they performed. I was left scratching my head. I do not get the appeal.

Joni Mitchell, Peter, Paul and Mary, Harry Chapin, Joan Baez.
I did see Mumford and Sons just now on a YouTube clip and found some of it quite enjoyable.
