Yeah, sometimes it paralyzes people. I'm glad he is starting to see a light.

Don't know if it was mentioned, but exercise is very important. Also, staying away from alcohol and cigarettes. There are many websites out there covering this and also many forums.

He's got that down then lol, he's been swimming and doing situps and weightlifting.

He's getting better. We went for ice cream last week, at his suggestion. That never happens lol.
He's there for me through important stuff. I've been to the ER a few times since we got together and he never left my side. Then when my mom passed, he attended most of her memorial. He started having a panic attack and I made him go home lol.

That is alot to take on when you have just met. Good on you for being there for him, and not judging it

I suffer from occasional bouts of panic attacks. I have meds I can take if they come on and I'm home. But they rarely are so bad I can't just go on with whatever activity I am doing until they go. I do sweat like I'm having a contraction and my heart races to beat the band though!

I have to sit down and ride it out. They happen more when I'm under stress and when they are intense one after the other then I have to take meds.

I have only had to be hospitalized with them one time in my life. When I didn't sleep for 3 days....one starts hallucinating after that and that's not good ;)

Being bipolar, I suffer (and have suffered) anxiety and panic attacks for a long time. I take xanax for when it's really bad. My main problem is social anxiety, I have issues being around large crowds of people and tend to avoid them unless I'm with someone else. Plus I get anxious about all kinds of little things that go on in my life... continuing on into paranoia a lot of the time.

yes but mine is speratic
im bipolar 3
i had a mania attach last weekend
i dont have anxiety much
just get you some low dosage zanax and only take them when you really need them

Bipolar 3 is basically man-made bipolar through incorrect diagnosis and medication... and not something that is generally diagnosed as bipolar disorder. Then again, you could have meant bipolar II, but if that was the case, you wouldn't suffer from mania, only hypomania episodes.

Zanax. When I was going through a divorce I had terrible anxiety. Couldnt eat or sleep. Got a script from my doctor and it helped quite a bit. They have different doses. I am since off of it, but it really helped during that time.

People don't realise how many others suffer from this kind of thing. It is nice to know you're not alone and have someone to talk too. Mine is mainly due to stress. I have learned to cope with it better then I used too.
