Teen anxiety rates are rising faster than ever. Is social media the main trigger, or do academic and parental expectations play a bigger role? How can parents balance discipline with emotional support?

I think anxiety in teens is mostly due to parental pressure, teachers' pressure, and peer pressure. Parents pressure teens to follow the belief that they inherit, but teens are not willing to do that. Teachers pressure, teens for education and most of the time teens are not much interested in traditional education.

Anxiety in teenagers often comes from both pressure and perfectionism. Academic expectations, social comparisons, and fear of failure can create constant stress. Encouraging open conversations, realistic goals, and coping skills helps teens manage anxiety while fostering resilience and self-acceptance.

I think many teenagers feel pushed to achieve more in school, sports, and social life, while also trying to present a perfect image online. Expectations from parents, peers, and even themselves create constant stress. It’s tough when they feel judged for every mistake instead of being supported while learning and growing.
