SEAN PATRICK -------, 23, of BELMAR, died on Monday, June 25. Born in Point Pleasant, he lived in Ocean Township before moving to Belmar. Sean was a 2001 graduate of Ocean Township High School and co-captain of the 2000 state champion football team, Central Jersey Division Group III. He was a 2006 graduate of the University of Delaware. He worked as a drug and alcohol counselor of J.S.A.S Health Care in Asbury Park. He was a member and communicant at St. Rose Church in Belmar. Sean was the lead singer of the band "Good Grief," having played at the Stone Pony.
Surviving are his parents, Ernest C. ----- and Beth Meehan ------; and two brothers, Christopher M. ------ of Unionville, Conn., and Dr. Kevin M. ------ of Highland Park. He is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Reilly Funeral Home, 801 D St., Belmar. Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose Church Interment will be at St. Anne's Cemetery, Wall. In lieu of flowers donations to J.S.A.S. Health Care, 1200 Memorial Drive, Asbury Park 07712 would be appreciated.

It said he worked as a drug and alcohol counselor. So sad. I pray for comfort for his family and friends. He was so young with his life ahead of him. May he be at peace now.

Seems this has been happening alot. Seems like everytime I go into work there is always 1 person in there that has OD. Its so sad. Some are bad, some are not.
I hope his family can find some kind of comfort. I couldnt imagine having to go thru that as a parent

this is the town i went to grammar school in.. and he wsa THHHHE kid every girl had a crush on-- captain of the football team, all american kinda kid.. i found the other day when i was at target.. i ran into someone i had gone to school with and he told me what happened.. i just remembered the obit today though..

its the OD part that scares me.. with my brother and all..
