So wait.... this new movie is a continuation from the original? Because the commercials refer to like the second or third movie where Jason's mother was killing people.

Because they have no decent material to work off of... is the only thing I can think of. There hasn't been many 'original' movies out lately.

I saw parts of Freddy vs. Jason god was that horrid... And Jason X looked corny.
