My anniversary is less than two weeks away, and I have been racking my brain for ideas. We've decided we want to stick to the "traditional" gifts, so this year is paper.

We don't take pictures, haven't gone any of us together since the wedding. He's not big on pictures anyhow.

Aside from that, I'm clueless.

What did you do? or Guys, what are some good ideas?

A couple of those I don't see working out in the least, but there's a bunch I could work with. I really like the artwork one. I have a great idea. I think.

home made paper card? something precious wrapped in paper? those love coupon booklets? a book?

That's not cheating?

toilet roll?

With random love notes on it:24:

Oh. My. God. I am totally doing this, if for nothing more than a laugh. I have plenty of time, and toilet paper, to sit down and write a love quote on each square. Should I use a Sharpie?

Now I just need a gazillion love quotes.

This was my first thought too.:thumbup

Also, one year I was lucky enough to be friends with a cartoonist who did a good caricature of the missus for our anniversary. Maybe you could find someone who could do something like that of your other half too? It has the personal touch about it too which is a bonus.:thumbup

I bought Jim tickets to a concert for our first anniversary. He gave me a beautiful card and a book I was wanting.

Money is, unfortunately, an issue.

I do have a cousin that does caricatures, but she's moved on to Fifth Ave in NYC and I'm not sure she'd remember me, anyhow. Ooh, but my brother is still friends with an ex of his who is an art major. Maybe she knows someone...

On our first Anniversary money was tight too.

I wrote PS a poem and I also put together a multi-photo frame of pictures from when Satin & StickBoy were little.

Plus I made him dinner and stuff :ninja

Sharpie may bleed too much, you might have to play around with different media. :D

Omg the toilet paper love note thing is a great idea! My boyfriend and I have our first anniversary coming up (not marriage anniversary). I'm totally going to steal it!

How would you do it exactly? Unroll it, write on each square then try roll it back up? Hmmm

You could control the amount also, if you don't want to write 1000 notes... use a roll that only has 100 of less sheets on it.

but yea, write on each square, and carefully roll it back up :D

I just thought of one that might work too...

You could take heart shaped post it's and write little love notes on them.. if you have a bare wall... make a heart shape out of them.. and then make a K+M in the centre.. could be cute too.. :).. That way you can use a sharpie...
