ugh. I am so pissed. My mom was supposed to come get me this morning, but she didn't bother telling me it was NEXT tuesday. We were supposed to go meet with the lady at the place where the wedding is, and schedule a rehearsal dinner and all that. WELL no one fucking bothered to tell me that was NEXT week not this week. So now the girl who is getting married the day after me is going to get the thursday night rehearsal dinner and I will be stuck with wednesday, which is just fucking great considering I have out of town people in my bridal party who wont even be here then. OMG I'm about to go total bridezilla...ughhhhh. Not to mention i dont even have a hair appointment, makeup, jewelry...or money for anything, I keep getting bitched at for spending money. Whatever I'll fucking go to my wedding in my PJs and fix my own goddamn hair. /rant. ughhh. please ignore.

kiddo don't stress it'll work out. 48 hours prior to my wedding the justice of the peace who was supposed to marry us had to leave town, he found someone to preform the ceremony but we had to find a new place to get married on less than 2 days notice, i fuckin flipped. (not to mention i found this out right before taking my finals on my last class of the term.)

I only flip out when you tell me you are going to Taco Bell, then proceed to instead go to Red Lobster and spend 20 bucks on your lunch alone. then turn around and complain that I won't let you spend money. Next time you say your going to Taco Bell, go to Taco Bell instead of Red Lobster and you can have 20 bucks to buy some crap. You act like I have a money tree growing on my anus or something.

its a life long commitment celebration, not a fashion show. no one will know whether you got your hair done professionally or not, and honestly, i doubt anyone besides you will even care. try to keep things in perspective. its your day, no one elses.

Hahah, that's pretty funny man. Have you ever gotten married? The wedding has nothing to do with us at this point. Everything we are doing we are doing to keep the peace among family members, because everyone in the family thinks it should be this way, or that way, and gets all huffy when it's not the way they want it.

We learned quite a while ago that the wedding isn't for or about us. It's for and about our families. The honey moon is our celebration when we do what we want, the way we want to do it.

Man? How about WOMAN... thank you.
I guess that's why I have no problems with going to the court house or Vegas. Its not my family's commitment, so they got no say in it for me. Makes life a hell of a lot easier.
Clare, this is the dude you are marrying? Hope ya got a pre-nup.

I Always dreamed of having a big wedding...never in my life did I imagine how much money this would cost and how much work it would take. I spent $15 yesterday on RIBBON for my bouquet...wtf. And I didn't even get allthe ribbon i needed, just one color. Teh details are mindboggling, and if people hadn't already bought their plane tickets and such I'd say screw it lets go to the courthouse. The sad part is, the grooms parents are supposed to help pay for the honeymoon...instead, we are putting down about $500 of OUR money (that theya re "supposed to" pay us back--yeahright!) on THEIR dresses....flower girl, one of matts sisters, and his moms dress. Then I jokingly said something about keeping matts sisters dress since WE paid for it and I'm the same size, and they about flipped out. Not to mention the tacky as hell tiara they bought for the flower girl...after I said NO TIARAS! Now they make fun of me because they think I am JEALOUS of a 2 year old stealing my thunder at my wedding. I really want to go and choke some people right now. ugh.

My coworker's daughter just got married and he spent 50k on it. I just cant believe what people put in to these things... What happened to the good ol days where people got married at the church, rode the carriage back to the farm and partied it up till the break of dawn? LOL

Excuse me? You haven't even gotten married, and you are telling us how it should be. Then when I tell you how it is, you get huffy at me? I suggest you actually try getting married once before you comment on how our wedding is being handled, it might give you some perspective. Until then, keep your pre-nup comments to yourself and don't tell others how to handle their business when you've never gone through the process yourself, especially since you don't know me from Adam. Don't assume you do.
