and the dominoes start to fall

Colorado to the Pac-10

That fits in with the rumor that the Pac-10 will be inviting 6 members from the Big 12. So expect Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State to make their announcement soon. Nebraska will probably announce their move to the Big 10 today as well. The Big 12 will be no more, and expect the MWC to invite the remainder of the Big 12 plus Boise. Another option for the MWC would be four members from the Big 12 plus Boise and Fresno, I'd imagine that Baylor would be the school left out since I don't think TCU would appreciate another Dallas school in the conference with them. Houston could be another match for the MWC rather than Fresno, and they'd be a natural rival with TCU.

This is getting very interesting

It could affect every conference before its over with. I could see the SEC jumping up to 16 schools.

Well, that was anticlimactic for now... Texas, Oklahoma, OU, and A&M all turned down Pac-10 invites. I'm guessing the Pac-10 will go after Utah next to get to 12 for 2011. I doubt they'll do much more than that. If that happens, I'm thinking that the Big-12 (now 10) may go after BYU and TCU to replace Nebraska and Colorado. In which case; Fresno, Nevada, SMU, and Houston could all be in the mix for the MWC to get back to 10 or 12 members if Utah, BYU, and TCU were to leave.
