It seems as though all of my emotions come from a different person, does anybody else have this kind of feeling? It seems as though i have about 6 different personalities.

No, in fact I've noticed in myself that irritation, frustration, anger, and fear all produce a very similar physical feeling in my chest.

Mine are pretty much integrated, though it did take a lot of work and time to accomplish. Sometimes I have a feeling of being split off suddenly from everything, and it doesn't make sense, or have much meaning like it used to. That could be part of my grieving process...who knows.
If what you are experiencing is super weird to you or uncomfortable and affecting you adversely, maybe you need to get some guidance.

You are not surprised by that are you? They all come from the same place.

I'm mellow most of the time, and when I do have a change of emotion I can feel the transition usually over a period of time. It's not like it comes out of no where.

As far as multiple personalities and the OP, I think that come from more than clashing emotions.

No doubt.
That chest thing is new for me. Sure, it's all adrenaline; it's just that the physical sensation is a little scary, considering my family history of heart problems.

I would look into getting a doctor to help you. Multiple personalities is better known as the diagnosis of Dissociative Identity Disorder, and is a result of a trauma experienced (usually as a child at or before 9 years of age). It is a coping mechanism to deal with said trauma. If I were you I would look into a good psychiatrist/psychologist combination as it can be treated with therapy and medication.

Does this happen frequently? If you self analyze, would you say that your response is appropriate or exaggerated based on the aggravating factor? I'm not a shrink, but I know that if you go to a shrink to discuss it, they basically get you to analyze and produce the answer. You might be able to do that at home.

If it was appropriate I wouldn't be concerned. :D
I was raised (teenage years, at least) in the foster care system. Group therapy was my dad. Lots of training in self-assessment and introspection. Emotional changes come from changes in the life situation. Mine's been stable for over 5 years now (same job, same home, same family situation, etc). I'm sure this is medical/hormonal, but I still have to have a consult (already scheduled) with psych before the doctor can proceed.

I'm wishing for a positive outcome! Hang in there. (Easy for me to say, I know.)

Accountable, have you narrowed it down to a specific health issue or are you still trying to find the cause ?

Also have your talked to your GP ( Family Doctor ) about this at all ?

By far I would consider this a priority and wish you well.

My new GP is a PA. :yuk But yes, he gave me the referral for a psych consult.
I haven't narrowed down anything. I only have my own theories and no research, which is to say I have wild-ass guesses. :D
Thanks for the good thoughts.
