Sheriff Deputies and animal investigators rescue almost 80 dogs at a puppy mill that are severely malnourished and dehydrated.
Vets say many of the dogs wouldn`t live another week, and 50 of them now have a new home at the Humane Society in Pulaski County.
Kay Jordan with the Humane Society says, "It was disgusting. It was disgusting. The officers couldn`t stay in the house. The urine and feces smell was so bad they had to go outside, they couldn`t stand the smell. We tried to give these dogs regular water and they don`t know what it is. They`re used to the rain coming off the roof or whatever."
Several dogs were dehydrated, some didn`t have the energy to close their own mouths and every dog had nails that looked like they had never been clipped.
Now, they have a new home, with a fresh start, but unfortunately, there are several other dogs out there that aren`t so lucky.
"It hurts me," Jordan says. "It hurts me to see this because I know there are hundreds and hundreds in Arkansas just like this one or worse. I know they`re there."
If you would like to help by adopting or donating food and supplies, please contact the Pulaski County Humane Society at 501-227-6166.

Puppy mills cn be bad business, so many people do it to make a easy living with no real care of the animal.

Freakin rediculous.

Why isn't PETA going after bullshit like this? No they're wasting everyone's time bitching about furs and people eating cows.

I hate PETA.

Admittedly, PETA doesn't go about it always the right way. But chill out about the animal rights, activists, James. This has nothing to do with PETA or eating meat or wearing fur (although you shouldn't do that either :p)

But thank fuck these dogs were rescued. Can you imagine these poor animals not knowing what water is! This is just... revolting. I'm so glad they're saved now.

No, this is EXACTLY the kind of mistreatment that PETA SHOULD be going after. Instead they turn into animal "rights" activists over animals which are bred and raised to be food.

I never said anything about the fact that PETA should go after things like this. I don't agree with PETA on many things. They're going about things entirely the wrong way. But that doesn't mean they don't protest things like puppy mills.

Don't turn this into a food argument. You know how I feel about it.

I'm not turning this into a food arguement. I'm making a statement of how hypocritical and how much of a waste of time PETA is for not picking up on and actually HELPING to prevent things like this.

That is argument. You began with "no" and capitalized!

Normally sentences begin with capitalized letters. :p

The thing about with my style of debating... I'll (a lot of times) quote the entire post, but only focus on rebutting a part of it. So it looks as if I'm disagreeing with everything, but if I don't comment on most of it, then I'm not.

Only a few people have picked up on that... I guess it comes from my laziness in not deleting the part I agree to and am not debating. lol

Is what I said.

But what were you disagreeing to? :p

You followed this with " No, this is EXACTLY the kind of mistreatment that PETA SHOULD be going after." But... I agreed with you that PETA doesn't go about it the right way...

What are you disagreeing with! I need clarificaaaaation! :D

The first and second bolds. I never said "you said", etc. That wasn't my point to be arguementative with you. My rebuttal about PETA starting with "No" was simply for that line. I'm not argueing how you feel about veganism. I could care less. PETA is a PITA, they're all idiots and the people in this group they established are a waste of human sperm.
