I haven't had time to read the entire article yet. But from what I saw, it's great news.
I just hope that what is being said is true and not some political move.
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to see the government deal with this mess in Iraq without letting politics muddy up the information and decisions?

As far as it being true, that's why I said I was surprised to hear it from the Washington Post, who I think everybody can agree tends to lean left.
I think they presented both sides of the issue very well. And I certainly agree with the bolded part.
Perseverance will pay off. The American people should never have thought this was going to be a short war. I never did. In fact, in my mind I don't see the war on terror ever ending. As long as there are terrorist cells, I'm of the opinion that countries should ban together and hunt them down.
Terrorism is a Hydra.
