Having worked around aircraft for years, it's perfectly normal. BTW That is a vertical stabilizer not a wing, it contains the rudder.

For several years I had flight line refubishment, went through the f-111 and f16 days but I was also around for the Atlas Missile and Centaur as well as the cruise missile. Lots of stuff.....

The 111 had some issues early on in its development, if I remember right, but turned out to be a solid aircraft.

I remember when McConnell had their 50 F-16s years ago. It was sad to see them go. Some of them came down here to the AZANG.

My dad was mainly involved with B-52 and KC-135 upgrades on the military side, but had some input in the commercial side as well.
