Thinking about getting my son one for his bday (he'll be 9 at the end of the month). Anyone have one? Thoughts? Is he too young?

Seriously, though, the pellets sting if you get hit w/ them and they can break the skin, but I think it's a good starter for a kid his age.

Yeah, he's played with one a few times and handled it well. He's asked for one twice, but not really begged for it. I know he'll be very surprised and happy with it which is always my goal with bday presents. It's getting harder and harder at his age!

Start him off with a spring loaded model. Less velocity and no repeat fire.
