It was just reported that Afghan president stated during an interview that by slim chance if the US went to war with Pakistan, Afghanistan would side with Pakistan.

It is way past the time IMO that the West should figure out a way NOT to depend on oil.

Exactly what would the sand box do if the West didn't need their oil?

I guess I don't understand the motive behind saying something like that on public record.

How long do they actually think they would be in power (Afghanistan) if the U.S were to leave? Added the fact where would the cash cow come in from if the U.S wasn't there? (not that I think that not being able to account for millions upon millions of dollars is a good reason to want us to stay there).

Perhaps they tell Pakistan one thing and us another, but I'm still scratching my head.
