Afghan children killed in attack

I wouldn't be surprised if they intentionally do not want to capture him. We wil be in the middle east for a VERY LONG time for now on, and to gain at least SOME public support you need a scape goat to project to the masses to be afraid of. A "boogey man".

well we certainly seemed to forget about him as of late, haven't we?
Yeah, those thousands of guys in Afghanistan just twiddle their thumbs all day.

That could be, possibly, the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Definitely in the top 3.

What does excuse the fact is that our troops were taking fire from the building, had a positive ID on the location of the fire, and took the steps needed to ensure their safety.

Agreed. They killed 2 kids. Sad, but not a horrible tragedy. I'm willing to bet that when we dropped the A-bomb on Japan, we killed a few innocent people. These soldiers were protecting themselves, and had no way of knowing that there were any kids in there. They were doing their job.

Oh yeah, that guy. Seems like we forgot about him, huh? Or do we really want to catch him at all?

You're an idiot. Why the hell would we let some crazy fucker roam the world like that? We'll catch that bastard and make him suffer...don't care how they do it. It needs done.

That's a terrible situation, and I can't imagine how those troops are feeling. But it's not their fault the enemies barricaded themselves in a building that had kids in it. Should the troops have just walked away? How were they supposed to know who was in the building? They were in a life or death situation, and their survival is their priority. They neutralized the threat as best they could. The civilian casualties are regrettable, but unavoidable.
ditto
