Hello,

I'm trying to build myself as an actress but have no idea where to start. I've been in a few local plays and I was once an extra in a motion picture film, but I have no head shots or portfolio. Do I need all this? Any advice would be great!

I would imagine that you would need that stuff. That is basically your resume. And probably any footage or letters that you could get would help also. Basically you have to expose yourself out there. Meaning sell yourself using your resume.

I agree with joining a local Drama group. They are made up of people like yourself who want to move on to bigger and better things.

I thought everyone just moved to hollywood and worked as waiters and waitresses waiting to make it big.

As an fellow actor you do need that stuff. That's how I star in a musical last year and have a CD coming out. With NLT
