Toddlers & Tiaras? I think flaunting a child off at that age in a beauty pageant is sick.

I saw a documentary about these on telly the other day. It boggles the mind that these are allowed, especially in a country so prudish it wont even show tits on telly.

It has nothing to do with showing off your beautiful child and everything to do with how much makeup you can plaster on their little faces, making them look like little whores. That's the problem I have.

Just google child beauty pagent and look at this little monsters... Take the fucking makeup off and let them be kids. This isn't healthy at all.

Amen Tim!

If any of you have ever seen documentaries about what these kids are put through to compete, it becomes clear, it's not abut showing of your beautiful child, it's about MOM or DAD or whoever the stage parent is. This is darn close to child abuse.

This isn't even the worst of what I've seen. "Living Dolls" is a living horror.

I get asked from time to time if I ever will put Amara into modeling... and my answer is the same as other inflammatory subjects when she's old enough to understand what goes into the entire process and the things she will be expected to do I'll be humble enough to let her go into modeling... any earlier than that... and I say fuck no. She's gotta be a kid and explore... climb things, destroy a couple of her parents possessions and all that as she learns about the world... can't do that when your told to go parade around in outfits that are way to ridiculous for the age group.

:O those women should be shot

At the least!!! There is much worse than that out there. It's a really cruel "industry". Like child actors, they are expected to behave like adults, only this is much more damaging since the one picking them apart is not a director, but their own parent who should love them unconditionally, but look at how they criticize them. How does a child separate the disapproval that comes of a poor performance, from disapproval of them as a person?

I watched a doc on these girls years back. A 5-year old knew her whole routine but could not count to 10. 10! When PBBB was three she could count to 100. Three. Thank you, no.

PS & I have always put more emphasis on learning than looks.

I think alot of this has to do with the women trying to live vicariously through their daughters. I don't have those issues.

hehehehehehehehehe..... well, one I do. She gets to dress way cooler than I did at her age. My mama dressed me funny:nod::24:

:thumbup:thumbup:thumbup Bingo Moonie! Jon Benet Ramsey comes to mind in that her mother was a beauty queen and if you have read about them, it would seem Patsy was attempting to relive her glory days via her daughter.
