Ok so I got a new Camera and here are the first pictures I took with it.. Out of the 20 some shots I took these are some of the best.. You must remember I was on a business trip and had to do work on the way so be gentle.. :D

Ferry in Active Pass, one of the most tight passes to manoeuvrer for these Super Ferries.. Yes our Ferry was next :D

OK after getting up at 4:00 am to get to the 6:00 am Ferry, this was as good as it got for my first shots.. :)

Was a Great day on the cross over.,. I love the Victoria area and wish I could have taken a few shots there,,

Good photos, but I have to be critical about the first one...notably the horizon, unless you are standing on the edge of the horizon, no offence meant, just a little bit of sarcasm:thumbup

Let's just say I am now.. :).. As Tuff said with my new camera I will be shooting as much as I can.. Nothing professional however..

Right on. I have been up there before but has been a decade and change, I am from Bremerton and used to wake up to the sound of the Seattle- Bremerton ferry everyday

The pac n-west, particularly that area (western Washington and south west BC) is some of the most gorgeous landscape I have seen

It is.. In 5 years of doing that cross ( about once every 4 to 6 weeks ) I have only seen Whales once.. I wish I had had this camera that time :( .. They were about 50 to 75 yards from the boat and a great site to see. The lady I talked too said people saw some 3 days earlier on the same run, but we all know timing is soooo key..

I have only had a few bad crossings.. Mostly winter ones but very few even then..

If I take some time off and get to go back for some holiday time I might just leave the laptop in the car and take only the camera on the deck.. Won't have to worry holding onto so much crap on the upper decks that get extremely windy..

There is so much to see and everywhere you look is a fantastic shot..

Tuffdisc is just jealous he can't come and professionally shot here.. :sarcasm:sarcasm
