Study: Fellatio may significantly decrease the risk of breast cancer in women

http://www.murdzplace.com/CNN.htm

Women who perform the act of fellatio and swallow semen on a regular basis, one to two times a week, may reduce their risk of breast cancer by up to 40 percent, a North Carolina State University study found.

Thoughts anyone?

theres a study that says cum gives you throat cancer? Damn Im in trouble :eek

Not a huge risk, it's just the HPV related cancers (esophageal, anal, and cervical). I believe something like 10% of women will experience throat cancer from HPV? I may very well be wrong, it's been a while since I researched this stuff. I was quite sad, myself, when I realized you could get throat cancer from sex...I quite love blowies :*( lol

[soapbox]Always ask to be tested for hpv, don't go too long without a pap smear, ask about your risk for throat and anal cancer, and don't ignore throat and bowel troubles (hard time swallowing, etc).[/soapbox]

My mom has had hpv related cancer twice, and looks like she won't make it this time. I wish that Gardasil had been available long ago. I got my shot :\

Ok back to goofy blowjob thread :p

I find it quite disgusting that in England women under 25 aren't asked for smear tests and if they do ask for them, they can be turned down. And there was a story in one of the Sunday papers (my dad brought 4 last Sunday and I can't remember which one it was) about how over 700 smear tests in England were ignored because of the date of birth :(

Here's a link: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2021791/Scandal-labs-refuse-check-25s-smear-tests.html (I know it's Daily Mail. I read it in a different paper but this was the first link I found and the story is the same)

Think women die needlessly from something that could easily be detected.

Ya, that's horrible, it's so preventable. All about cutting the bottom line! Access for preventative tests for women is hotly contested in the US, too. I guess the bureaucrats have decided only older women die from these cancers.

What gets me is that in Scotland, NI and Wales, they carry out the tests from a much earlier age (I think they are all from the age of 20). So why do the English girls have to wait 5 years later for it? For a national health service, it really fails the public. Especially the small percentage of women under 25 who die from it.

It really works me up. I asked my doctor about smear tests a while back and got told I'd have to wait till I'm 25 or I'd get one before that if I had cervical cancer symptoms :willy_nilly:

Wow :\ that's so awful.
Is the hpv vaccine well-received over there?

What I find odd is, in the US they will test you for free if you're low income and qualify for a state program, but honestly, the results are worthless. If I had cervical cancer, there is little chance I could get treated for it.

The vaccine is well received though at college they only vaccinated the girls who were under 18 and I was 18 or 19 at the time.

I only brought it up with my doctor because I read online about young mothers (19 and younger) having an increased risk of cervical cancer. And as I gave birth at 17, I just wanted advice on it.
