To me the picture isn't all that interesting, haha, I don't really follow any of this type of thing, although, just looking at it I'd say the rest are all trying to suck up to America and the other guy is confident enough to think that everyone knows he cares anyways..

They are actually pointing out that it appears that either the Pledge of Allegiance or the Star Spangled Banner is being said/sung .. and it is customary for Americans to place their hands over their hearts while either of those things are happening. It's basically a symbol of patriotism here.

I suppose a country that emphasises SO much on freedom of speech and expression, can't turn around and be shocked by somebody doing just that.
I think it's not offensive to anyone, at least he wasn't talking over it, or singing the words to the Macarena .
