Or whatever, a civilization's view on another civilization, etc etc.

This is such a cross between politics, religion, morals, media etc, it's insane, so I believe I got the right section. Let's see if i can effectively put my idea in text and not fail this time XD

If you were to talk to the average American, and so much as mention the word "Muslim", you would probably get a bad look, or a long explanation on terroism.
Why is this? Well, as portrayed in the media, the terrorists that did normally attack America were indeed Muslim, and they said that they did it for their God.
Now, damnit, for some reason, everyone now thinks all Muslims are bad.

Fuck.
Really now? My point I'm trying to say (and i don't know how to say it clearly) is that normally, most nations in media display the extremists of another culture, which therefore creates the idea that ALL of that culture are bad. Why do nations do that? I have read the Qur'an a bit and it seems pretty peaceful to me.
Media never shows the "normal" people, which are most likely not crazy.

That makes me wonder
Then what do nations show of us? The crazy ass Christians (i.e. GOD WARRIOR , lol)? Or just extremists in general? I imagine if the media didn't do that people wouldn't hate each other as much.

Really now!
And communism, of that:
I think communism isn't a bad idea for govt. but govt. commonly gets it HORRIBLY WRONG
States such as Cuba, media normally shows the leader as evil and stuff (damn propaganda)
To the point where most Americans hate everyone within that rule/culture. Why? Why do people so blindly assume (make |ass|es out of |u| and |me|) that EVERYONE is like that there? Why does the media want to do that? I don't imagine people over there in the mid east enjoy that war we've been having with one another for a while. I don't imagine every average Joe there enjoys blowing up things. I don't imagine all supporters of communism are evil fags who are hard core gangsters against the very core of American life. Normally the extremists are the ones who do that stuff.

Yet the media insists on always showing that! Why not show regular people? Well, we can't do that, that's too boring. People don't wish to know about Jack Sullivan who went to work today near the war zone, came home, and worried about his families life being taken by the opposing force, wishing for peace. They want to know about Ishgor Baznar who enjoys killing our soldiers and is completely against us, and they assume that all people of that culture are that way.

Of course, I'm not trying to assume that all people do that, i'm just mad at people who do >.<

Uh, have i got the general idea across? XD
What do you think of this?

When it comes to religion, I personally find that what the Bible and Quran says is extreme and downright nasty and offensive. The wars and people who have been killed in the name of religion will back this up too. However, most religious people are nothing like this, sure they have some prejudiced views but will generally keep that to themself and not impose it on others and I have no problem with them. As with all things though, its the extremists who make the loudest points and hyped on by media propaganda, this is what the majority think the're like.
As for Communism, its a very noble idea but went bad because it didn't take account of greedy and nasty people who can easily exploit it for their own ends. Animal Farm by George Orwell summed it up best - all animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others.
Dont get it so much as in the USA but it seems that the McCarthyism from the 50s sadly hasn't died down and it astounds me when I speak to Americans who still cant see the difference between Socialism and Communism and still seem to rank them up there in the nasty stakes with Nazis and Al Qaeda.

Just throwing this out there, but my friend's grandfather, who happen to be a former mayor, was held in a jail in Cuba for years because he disagreed with Castro. They only let him out when his Huntington's got really bad. The rest of her family fled the country because 1) they feared that they'd be thrown in jail too and 2) they were barely making enough money to live despite the fact that one of her aunts was an actress on the most popular TV show in Cuba. I can't say anything about other countries but get the opinions of people who lived through something like that before you call it propaganda.

But you're right that all too often we do only see the crazies.
